About Me

I started an interest for sewing when I was at school. In my final year of GCSE’s I completed two weeks work experience at a local Soft Furnishings business where I decided this was the career path for me!
I left school in 1989 and went to Salisbury College of Art for a year. Followed by four years of training at a couple of small soft furnishing businesses.

In 1994 my dream finally came true and I started my own business, working in one of the spare bedrooms in my mum and dads pub-The Saxon Inn, and so Saxon Stitches was born! Over the years I’ve added the finishing touches to many people’s homes with different furnishings. From curtains to blinds and loose covers to cushions. Now with over 20 years experience I offer a friendly personal service from measuring to fitting.
